Privacy policy
Orkis Group, LLC · Anniston, Alabama · effective 9 September 2026
Orkis builds and runs websites and software for small businesses. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and how to have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
If you visit orkisgroup.com
- The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts.
- If you send the enquiry form, we keep what you typed (name, business, email, phone, message) so we can answer you. That is its only use.
- Our web server and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it, keep ordinary connection logs (IP address, time, page) for a short period to keep the site running and safe.
If you are an Orkis client
- Your account. Your name, email, a password hash (never the password), and when you signed in.
- Your customers' messages. Quote and booking requests sent through your site are stored in your own workspace, for you. We do not read them for any other purpose and never sell or share them.
- Photos you upload. Pictures you send to your dashboard tools (for example a yard photo or a photo for a post) are stored in your own folder and shown only to you and to Orkis founders supporting your account.
- AI processing. Some tools send your photo and a short note to an AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) using your own API key on file with us, to write a plan or a post. The provider's terms govern that request; we keep only the result and a usage count, never a copy of your key in any readable place other than the locked file it lives in.
- Payments. Stripe processes card payments. We never see or store card numbers; we keep Stripe's record of what was paid and when.
- Email. Emails we send (sign-in links, receipts, notifications) go through Resend. We keep the address and the fact that the email was sent.
If you connect Facebook or Instagram
The post maker can publish to your Facebook Page and the Instagram business account tied to it. When you press Connect Facebook on your dashboard, Meta asks you for permission and then tells us:
- the list of Pages you manage (id and name), the Instagram business account tied to the Page you choose (id and username), and a Page access token for that one Page;
- your Facebook user id and name, so we can honour a deletion request from Meta.
What we do with it, and nothing else:
- publish a post to that Page or Instagram account only when you press the button for that post. Nothing is posted automatically or on a schedule you did not set;
- read the reach and engagement of posts we published, to show you how they did.
The token is stored in a file only your account can reach, on our server in the United States. We never read your personal profile, your friends, your messages, or content on other Pages. Pressing Disconnect deletes the token immediately. Removing Orkis from your Facebook settings does the same, because Meta tells us and we delete it on receipt. See data deletion.
Who can see your data
You, and the two Orkis founders when they support your account. Our service providers named above (Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, OpenAI or Anthropic when you use an AI tool, Meta when you connect a Page) each receive only what that service needs. We do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are a client, plus a short period afterwards for backups, which are encrypted and overwritten on a fourteen-day cycle. Enquiry form messages are kept until answered and for a reasonable time afterwards. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
Your choices
- Disconnect Facebook or Instagram at any time from your dashboard.
- Delete any design or post the tools made, one by one, from your dashboard.
- Ask for a copy of your data or for its deletion: data deletion, or email hello@orkisgroup.com. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, for clients, by email. The effective date at the top is the date of the current version.
